Mrs Shelley's secret information!

Hhhiiiyyyaaa!!!

Oh will you stop it, Old Ma Shelleys' bacon pasta bake was another household favourite when I was growing up. If we weren't having a Chinese takeaway or lasagna, it was a bacon pasta bake. So wholesome, so yummy and certainly fills up your tummy. I absolutely love it.

Do you find yourself asking how big is a knob of butter? I do. I just guess and throw it in. Who cares? It's my meal. No one else has to eat it. As long as you know the size of the knob that you want is all that matters. Get your mind out of the gutter. We are talking measurements.

I still find the products in Australia taste different to when I lived in the UK. I can tell the difference in the bacon and the tomato soup so it is not an exact replica of taste that i remember growing up but it is still yummy.

I am still in my lazy era of using dried herbs and garlic powder. Oh I haven't got the energy to crack open a bulb of garlic during my menopause. Nope, it's not happening. Not doing it. That is that!

I still do not like grating my cheese. People say buy it grated, but it's different. It's very powdery and more expensive. I could get my food processor out but yep you got it. The menopause cannot cope with me washing all the pieces of the food processor. I do like my cheese grater though. I did use the food processor for the bread though. I could have just thrown it in there after the bread crumbs. Ooooh do you know, I never thought. I forgot I already used the food processor. Stupid menopause brain.

Oooh did I tell you. I shopped at Woolworths this week which made a change to Coles. I wasn't feeling it with Coles this week.

My lovely sausage dogs sat at my feet the whole time I made this recipe hoping that I would drop something for them. They are even sat on the bed with me whilst I type this recipe up.

Well, I hope you loved it as much as I did. The video is on my social media sites as displayed at the top of my main website. They are posted on the same day as I post this recipe so if you want to check it out, you can.

Thanks so much.

Love Simply Mrs Shelley
